More for Summer Sundae

Murphy followed on stage by Macy Gray
01 May 2008 - Roisin Murphy will be followed on stage by Macy Gray at this year’s Summer Sundae Weekender event, which runs from 8 until 10 August.

The event, which will be at the De Montfort Hall and Gardens in Leicester, is presented in association with BBC 6 Music.

Latest addition to the event, Macy Gray, has sold millions of records worldwide and has a reputation for one of the biggest, busiest and most soulful shows in the business.

Many acts

Canada’s Cold War Kids will also take to the stage at the weekend as well as Mystery Jets, Efterklang,19 year old Scandinavian Lykke Li, El Perro Del Mar, Envy and Other Sins, Brighton’s Gary Go, Leicester’s own Jersey Budd and high-flying Kyte.

On the Friday night Supergrass will headline the Main Stage with Count and Sinden top billing indoors. Howling Bells will be closing the evening on the Drowned in Sound stage.

Macy Gray is top of the Main Stage billing on the Saturday, with The Whitest Boy Alive starring on the indoor stage.

On Sunday Lykke Li is top of the pops on the Rising stage, Lightspeed Champion is doing the honours on the indoor stage and bringing the festival to a close with iridescent lightshow are Simian Mobile Disco Live.

Tickets are now available starting at £95 for a full weekend ticket. Day tickets are priced at £40 for Saturday and Sunday and £35 for Friday.
