Franz surprise gig

Scot rockers announce secret show
05 June 2008 - Franz Ferdinand have announced a surprise show in Hoxton East in London next Monday 9 June.

The secret gig will take place at the Macbeth pub and there were just 150 tickets.  Word from Rough Trade reports that the gig is already fully sold out.

They went on sale at 8am today (5 June) and were available on a first come first served basis from the Rough Trade East store  at 91 Brick Lane in London.

The band are currently working on the follow-up to 2006's You Could Have It So Much Better with producer Dan Carey of Hot Chip and Lily Allen.

Album track titles that have been bandying about include Lucid Dreams, Ulysses, Dream Again, Turn It On, A Severed Head and Katharine Kiss Me.

After a series of intimate gigs across the UK, the band are rumoured to be playing another intimate show at Hull's Adelphi club on June 22.
